Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral?

As a private Counsellor you do not require referrals. Psychologists and Psychiatrists require referrals from your GP.

Can I claim with Medicare or my private health fund?

Counselling is not on the list of claimable services for Medicare at this time, hence why our prices have been reduced and adjusted accordingly. Some health fund rebates will apply. Please check in about which health funds are claimable.

How do I know if we are a good fit?

We offer a 10–15-minute introductory chat over the phone. This way we can both get a sense of whether we will be a good fit.

Will you be able to give me a diagnosis?

No, as Counsellors, we do not diagnose. If you are looking for a diagnosis you will need to see your GP for them to guide you to the appropriate health care provider.

Re-connecting back to our sensitivity is paramount when dealing with our health and this includes our mental health. Our ability to feel settled with life and settled in our body is in fact our natural state. Yet sometimes we need support to return to what our body innately knows.
